How did I get here?
I’m Sunita de Tourreil, and I have worn many hats in life so far. The bumps along the road I have traveled have been the times I have grown the most.
Along the way, I have studied and internalized the teachings of many mostly non-dual teachers including: Eckhart Tolle, Adyashanti, Ram Dass, Jeannie Zandi, Tara Brach, Byron Katie, Kiran Trace, Resmaa Menakem and more. What has been most surprising and delightful is to see how each of these teachers point to the same truths, each with their own language and their own lineage. One of the key things that I have learned is that healing first and foremost requires coming into our bodies. Becoming more embodied through meditation or other movement practices, is fundamental. We store wounding and trauma in our bodies, and it is by re-connecting with our bodies that we can directly care for those wounds.
Social justice has also been central to my life since I was a child. The somatic healing that I have been doing for nearly ten years has clarified my role as a social justice engaged community member. It has become deeply clear that all social justice work starts within, which is why I am moved to begin Women’s Healing Circles to share this work with others. I am more powerful in my social justice work now that I approach it with a settled body. I am deeply aware of my old wounding, without being captivated by it.
“Sunita’s presence, intuitive nature and skillful way of guiding women through darkness and back into the light is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Exquisite!”

“A women’s circle with Sunita is delightful and painful, unflinching and safe. And throughout, we hold each other close as we come to know ourselves aided by the gentle yet probing gaze of our peers. Join a circle to see and be seen, to encourage others and ultimately to heal yourself.”
